3. Dementia Specialty Training (English) 8 hours of Virtual - ZOOM Training

Price: $55

Overview: The Dementia Specialty Training is specifically designed for caregivers who work with individuals diagnosed with dementia. This module focuses on understanding the complexities of dementia, managing challenging behaviors, and creating a supportive environment that enhances the quality of life for clients with dementia.​

Schedule:

  • ​Day: Saturday, September 21, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

Technical Requirements:

  • Participants must use a computer with audio/video capabilities; mobile devices are not recommended for optimal participation.

  • In accordance with DSHS regulations, cameras must remain active throughout the entire training session.

Course Description: The Orientation and Safety Training is a crucial component of the HCA 75-hour course, designed to introduce new Home Care Aides to essential caregiving fundamentals and critical safety protocols. This training establishes the groundwork for creating a safe and effective care environment for both caregivers and their clients.

Examination and Certification: 

  • An examination will be conducted at the end of the course on the same day.

  • Participants must achieve a score of 80% or higher to pass the exam.

  • Upon successful completion of the exam, a DSHS-approved certificate will be issued and emailed to participants on the same day.

4. Mental Health Specialty Training(English) 8 hours of Virtual - ZOOM Training

Price: $55

Overview: The Mental Health Specialty Training is meticulously designed for caregivers working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This course emphasizes understanding the complexities of various mental health conditions, effective communication strategies, crisis management, and techniques for fostering a therapeutic environment that supports the mental well-being of clients.

  • ​Day: Sunday, September 22, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

Home Care Aide 75-hour Course (English) - 75 Hours (10 Days Total) - 8 days of Virtual - ZOOM Training and 2 days of In-Person Training

Our Core Home Care Aide 75-hour Course is structured into four main components:

1. Orientation and Safety Training (5 hrs total) which will be delivered virtually via Zoom

Schedule:

Date and Time: Monday, September 9, 2024,  9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (5 hours total)​

  • Participants must use a computer with audio/video capabilities; mobile devices are not recommended for optimal participation.

  • In accordance with DSHS regulations, cameras must remain active throughout the entire training session.

Course Description: The Orientation and Safety Training is a crucial component of the HCA 75-hour course, designed to introduce new Home Care Aides to essential caregiving fundamentals and critical safety protocols. This training establishes the groundwork for creating a safe and effective care environment for both caregivers and their clients.

Examination and Certification: Participants will be assessed based on their engagement and understanding of the presented material. Upon successful completion of the training, a DSHS-approved certificate will be issued and emailed to participants on the same day.

​2. Core Basic Training Schedule - 54 Hours Total (38 Hours on Zoom & 16 Hours In-Person) 

which is structured into two main components: "Fundamentals of Caregiving & Enhancements," which will be delivered virtually, and "Hands-on Skills Practice," conducted in-person. This training structure ensures a comprehensive education in caregiving, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills application.

1. Fundamentals of Caregiving & Enhancements (38 Hours via Zoom):

  • Format: Virtual via Zoom

  • Total Duration: 38 hours

  • Schedule:

    • First Day: Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

    • Second Day: Thursday, September 12, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

    • Third Day: Friday, September 13, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

    • Fourth Day: Monday, September 16, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

    • Fifth Day: Tuesday, September 17, 2024, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM (6 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

2. Hands-on Skills Practice (16 Hours In-Person):

  • Location: ACAASA Academy, 3250 Airport Way, Suite #730, Seattle, WA 98134

  • Total Duration: 16 hours

  • Schedule:

    • First In-Person Day: Thursday, September 19, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)

    • Second In-Person Day: Friday, September 20, 2024, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (8 hours including a 30-minute lunch break)
