AcAAsA Academy  POLICY & REFUND GUIDELINES

 

Class Attendance:

Punctuality and preparation are essential values at AcAAsA Academy. Classes start precisely at the scheduled times. Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes early to accommodate any last-minute needs, ensuring a smooth start to each session. In accordance with DSHS requirements, students must have their cameras on for the entire duration of the Virtual training. Tardiness may result in dismissal from the class, and no refund will be provided for such instances.

 

Class Cancellations by the Academy:

AcAAsA Academy reserves the right to cancel classes when necessary. If a class is cancelled, efforts will be made to reschedule and provide an alternative date. Should rescheduling not be possible, a full refund of all fees paid for the canceled class will be issued.

 

Student Cancellations and Refunds:

Understanding that unforeseen circumstances may arise, the following cancellation and refund policies are in place:

 

1. No-Call, No-Show: Absence without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of the full course fee.

2. Last-Minute Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the course start time are not eligible for a refund.

3. Non-Refundable Fees: Processing and registration fees are non-refundable:

   - HCA, Core Basic: $150.00

   - Individual Training: $50.00

4. Early Cancellations: Refunds, excluding non-refundable fees, are available for cancellations made within five business days of signing the enrollment contract or making an initial payment.

5. Late Cancellations: A registration fee (the lesser of 10% of total tuition or $80) is retained for cancellations made after five business days.

 

Refund Schedule for Training Termination after Course Commencement:

Refunds based on course completion at the time of training termination are as follows:

 

1. Up to 10% Completion: 90% of the total tuition is refunded.

2. 10% to less than 25% Completion: 75% of the total tuition is refunded.

3. 25% to less than 50% Completion: 50% of the total tuition is refunded.

4. More than 50% Completion: No refund is provided.

 

Continuing Education Courses:

Our Continuing Education courses are designed for comprehensive virtual training on ZOOM (a computer with audio/video capability is required), adhering to the following policies:

 

1. Technology Requirements: Courses must be completed on a desktop or laptop computer; mobile devices are not recommended.

2. Camera Requirement: In accordance with DSHS requirements, students must have their cameras on for the entire duration of the Virtual training.

3. Technical Support: Please report technical issues via email immediately. Response times are typically within 72 hours during business hours.

 

Enrollment and Withdrawal Policies:

The following terms apply to student enrollment and withdrawal:

 

1. Withdrawals Without Notice: Withdrawals before course completion without official notice will not receive a refund.

2. Notified Withdrawals: Official withdrawal notice (written, email, or phone) is required for potential refunds, subject to the refund policy and non-refundable fees.

3. Cancellation Notice: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the start of the first-course session to receive a refund, minus non-refundable fees.

4. First-Day Withdrawal: No refunds are provided for withdrawal or no-show on the first day of classes.

5. Policy Compliance: AcAAsA Academy reserves the right to refuse services for non-compliance with academy policies.

 

75-Hour HCA & Core Basic Program Information:

Students interested in the 75-Hour HCA or Core Basic programs should note the following:

 

1. Program Details: Familiarize yourself with the costs, registration requirements, duration, and rules of the program. Detailed information is provided in the Home Care Aid FAQs, sent upon full registration.

2. Program Costs:

   - 75-Hour HCA: $600.00

   - Core Basic: $400.00

3. Payment Process: Payments and registrations must be made online through our website (https://www.acaasaacademy.com). We do not accept cash or checks. Processing and registration fees begin once a class or program is purchased. LTCF students will be confirmed registered upon acceptance into the programs via LTCF-DSHS.

4. Camera Requirement: In accordance with DSHS requirements, students must have their cameras on for the entire duration of the Virtual training.

 

Homeroom/Classroom Etiquette Rules, Information, and Guidelines:

 

1. Respect and Attention: Students are expected to be respectful and attentive during each training session.

2. Punctuality: Arrive 15 minutes early for each session to avoid any technical issues or delays.

3. Classroom Behavior: Engage actively in sessions. Refrain from using cell phones or other devices, eating, talking, or engaging in behavior that disrupts the classroom environment.

4. Care for Facilities: Treat classroom facilities and materials with respect. Do not damage or deface property.

5. Legal Compliance: Comply with all applicable Washington State and Federal Laws. Acts of fraud or theft will result in immediate expulsion and potential legal consequences.

6. Language and Conduct: Use appropriate language and maintain respectful conduct at all times. AcAAsA Academy promotes an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion and does not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination.

7. Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial. Missing a class session may require retaking the session. Repeated absenteeism or lateness may lead to dismissal.
